Plunge into National Bathroom Reading Week
|
|
Finding
a quiet moment to catch up on the latest bestseller or re-read an old
classic is not an easy thing to do amongst the chaos of our fast-paced
world. This search for solitude leads many to the bathroom -- a personal
sanctuary within the home.
To celebrate this new found reading refuge, this week is National Bathroom
Reading Week. Getting into the spirit of things, Splashworks, a bathroom
solutions experts, asked customers for their bathroom reading suggestions.
The result: A Top 10 list of favourite literature for the loo. According
to the National Association for Continence people spend about an hour
a day in the bathroom -- that's nearly three years in a lifetime -- this
list offers a rare glimpse into the literary bathroom habits of loo readers.
Splashworks' Suggested Bathroom Reading:
The Wealthy Barber: This guide to getting ahead is best pondered with
a clear mind and minimal distractions -- perfect bathroom reading
material.
TV Guide: Plan a weekly viewing schedule and ensure it doesn't cut
into your valuable reading time.
The Farmer's Almanac: The original bathroom reading material. Still
designed with the hole in the spine that was used to hang this journal of
information in the outhouse, this book is a tradition in bathroom
fixtures.
Oprah's latest pick: Everybody's talking about her past selections so,
when she makes another choice, you won't be left out of the conversation.
War and Peace: For extended bathroom visits, this classic will engage
readers for hours.
Sports Illustrated: Especially the swimsuit issue -- no one can resist
flipping through.
The History of Outhouses: What better time to appreciate the
advancements made in bathroom technology?
Spirituality For Dummies: Leave the bathroom feeling enlightened in
more ways than one.
Reader's Digest: Heartwarming stories, funny anecdotes, self-help ...
something for everyone.
Uncle John's Bathroom Reader: Written by the founder of the Bathroom
Readers' Institute, this book is written specifically for the veteran
bathroom reader, as well as for recruiting rookies.
101 Knock Knock Jokes: People may wonder why there's laughter coming
from the bathroom, but you'll be a hit at parties.
