I'M 25 AND I'M SCARED OF GETTING OLD

Eva: I'm 25 and I already miss some things. When I go out to clubs, I'm no longer the kid. There are now plenty of kids younger than me. Of course, it's not the end of the world. I still have a good time. But the 15-, 16-years old are also there, and that really annoys me.

Naomi: I can't even imagine one day being 40 or 50. Yet, at 30, I'm already in the adult world. I know that my youth will soon be part of my past.

Nathalie: I used to feel like I could do anything, even while living in a relationship and having two children. Now, it's different. I have to define myself, have life projects and achievements. If I don't do this now, it will be too late.

Andrea: On a professional level, everybody used to think that I was wonderful: "Wow! Look at all she's done! And she's not even 30!" Now, to do this or that is normal. It's horrible to be like everyone else. I don't want to. I'm not everyone else!

Eva: At work, I firmly believe that fear of aging everyday. My boss is an old guy he's 48 and I'm terrified at the thought of being like him one day. In the office, there are all these 25- and 30-olds that seem so sad, old and fat. I wish I could live a fairy tale life. Where are all my dreams, my dolls and my Barbie house?

Andrea: Eva actually painted her bathroom pink! (Laughter)

Eva: That way, it always puts me in a great mood!

Naomi: For me, it's the other way around. Everyday, I think about my age in the bathroom.

Nathalie: And there's the morning, when I get up, all crumpled with no makeup!

Naomi: It's even worse in the evening, when I get ready for a party and that I feel tired from working...

Andrea: I don't see myself that way. In my mind, I'm still 23!

Nathalie: Yeah, but what about how other people see you? In the past two years, I've been called "Ma'am" more and more often.

Andrea: Your wedding ring is too obvious! I keep mine hidden, and people still call me Miss!

Naomi: I don't have a wedding ring, but for the past while, it's been both "Miss" and "Ma'am." And I hear remarks about my little crow's feet. I've had them since I was 20, but people now see them. It's not funny!
