MODA MENSWEAR, THE UK’S NATIONAL MENSWEAR
SHOW
As Moda Menswear enters its fifth season, it remains the
only national trade exhibition for mainstream and lifestyle
menswear, providing a much-needed commercial platform for
menswear brands and buyers across the UK and Ireland.The next Moda Menswear will take place in hall 18 at the
NEC Birmingham on 8, 9 and 10th August and forms part of
the UK's most comprehensive fashion exhibition. Running
alongside Moda Menswear is Moda UK, the UK's leading mainstream
and contemporary womenswear show in halls 19 and 20, and
directional show Footwear UK in hall 17.Its central location at the NEC offers first class, purpose
built facilities coupled with unparalleled access by rail,
road and air across UK and Ireland.The August show will preview over 150 collections for s/s
05, covering tailoring, casualwear, shirts and knitwear,
underwear and accessories, which provide an important overview
of menswear trends for the coming season (see trends report).Together with the brands that return to Moda Menswear season
after season, as the show continues to grow a number of
new labels showed for the first time in February. These
included Barbour, Aquaviva, Chrysalis Clothing, tie specialists
Michelsons and Soprano Neckwear, Double Two, Bulgari Camicie,
Belika, Kings Road Shirts, Freetex, Dalaco, Dellalui, Tom
Hagan, Mirto, Neon Jeans and, under new management, Sangan.
This season sees show debuts Camel Active, New Man, Haft,
Beverley Hills Polo, Bruno Banani and launching from State
of Art is a new collection, Red 11, among many others.Forward order and stock available to trade buyers only.The trade aspect of fashion established in Birmingham only
goes to strengthen the multi-billion pound regeneration
programme currently underway in the city centre. Birmingham
now boasts the best of fashion at retail and consumer levels
with Harvey Nichols, The Mailbox and Selfridges department
