Chinese 'Bra Wars' Fails To Take-Away Success From
Harrogate!
With the European Union's "bra wars" with China
now on the brink of being resolved, the Harrogate Lingerie
& Swimwear Exhibition played its in highlighting the
importance of the industry in the media at this months up-beat
show.
Over 1,536 visitors viewed over 400 lingerie and swimwear
collections showcased over four halls at the industry’s
principal exhibition which took place from the 21st –
23rd August. Buyers were able to select from the show’s
largest ever number of swimwear brands and see some of the
new collections and high streets names making their debut
this season.
High street brand Ted Baker launched both lingerie and
swimwear collections at the show to a tremendous reaction.
"We have seen all the people we could wish to see at
Harrogate for a brand of this quality." Commented Peter
Cronin, managing director. "For the criteria specified
by the Ted Baker label, the exhibition delivered the right
buyers. We have exceeded our expectations and have been
delighted with the response".
First time exhibitor, Anastasia Fashion also had some great
feedback to the launch of COR. Siobhan Hill, sales director
observed "We have had a lot of people on the stand
and a very good reaction to COR and the launch of our beachwear
collection". Jets, one of Australia's most popular
swimwear brands also attended for the first time under the
direction of agent, Curtis Jacoby. "All of the pre-show
contact with customers paid off as the vast majority who
said they would attend the show, were here. So the show
delivered our target customers to us. What more could you
ask for?"
Passionata unveiled a contemporary image, re-styled logo
and clearly defined product segments to theirbuyers on a
new look stand this season. Stewart Gates, managing director
commented
"Passionata with the new stand and concept both in
communication and merchandise has been a great success reflected
in the number of orders taken, number of people who visited
the stand and the high quality of new account enquiries".
Delivering the most comprehensive selection of lingerie
and swimwear brands at any exhibition in the UK, the Harrogate
Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition has proved it is the
intimate apparel industry's showcase. Janie Fox, event director
for Brintex commented "The positive feedback from both
buyers and exhibitors proves that Harrogate is the best
place to see the newest brands and trends in the UK. Our
visitor figures show that we consistently deliver the right
buyers to the trade".
